Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get one of these RCA sockets that mount directly onto a pcb. Any I can find on Google images aren't from UK suppliers.

The input has been dodgy for years. I noticed that for the top one one the stereo pair of inputs, the little rear metal slip pops out when I plug in. It doesn't pop back into place when I pull out the socket though. Is that normal. See below.

I have an identical one that you can have for the price of the postage if you want - it's used/salvaged, but appears to be fine.

I would try fixing that one first though, if the only problem is that the contact pushes out of the back. Try heating it slightly with a soldering iron to melt the tangs back into the plastic, and if that fails, hot-glue it.

Oh, great. Two of the three pcb mount pins have dry solder joints due to years of movement. I am not sure if it's that causing the issue or the contact not pushing back in. It's a 1990's KXR60 keyboard amp and it took me a while to get it all pulled apart so might as well put in a new one at the stage.

    I'll pm you @icbm.
