Pot advice please

Ok so I am in the process of marrying an Epiphone EB-0 bass neck to the Coronado body that I got from @davedave and I am minded to put volume and tone pots on a floating scratch plate and not drill the body….I've never worked with or even seen the type of pots I need…any advice please on how they work, how they are fitted etc…I don't yet have a scratch plate and will probably custom make….

Just wire as normal and stick under the pickguard with a dab of Araldite on each of the two fixing lugs.

Thanks Monkey didn't realise it was that simples...

In the past I've soldered them to Veroboard first to make attachment to the pickguard easier, either with glue, foam pads or Velcro. It depends how much clearance you have.
