Rideout sounds fun! I rode over to Cardiff from greewich on Friday eve... traffice until just past Reading was annoying as usual but I got some good filtering practice done!

Yesterday I took a nice 100-mile twisty ride around the Brecon Beacons with a friend and his Speed Triple; exactly what I needed to get used to the new bike, and a stunning part of the world to do it in. Heading back to London this afternoon, I need to get another 3/400 miles done on the bike in the next week or so to get it's first service done before I head away in Easter to France & Italy!

Some fantastic biking roads around the Brecon Beacons for sure but that's a long old way on the motorway on a unfaired bike. I used to hate it on the Speed Triple. And the Superduke. And the CB1000R....!! Some lovely B roads between Brecon, Usk and Chepstow to drop down on to the old Severn bridge too.

Took the GS for its first proper spin of the year yesterday, such a fantastic way to travel . New Dane jacket arrived today too, so looking forward to testing it out. First though I really just clean last year's mud off the bike...

It really is! Much less comfortable than I'd hoped... though mainly at silly speeds.
