    AFAIK, Super Lead heads don't

    ... and the MkII is ANIMAL. I have a 100W head, which does nothing below vol notch 2, then it sounds full on - the more you turn it up it doesn't get any louder ('cos it's already on max) it just gets more distorted. The MkIs also do not much below vol notch 2, but they progressively get louder, and more distorted. @ICBM did explain this once but I can't remember what he said. It did make sense at the time though
