Funny, I 've never really had it - I lucked out with Sgear , NI Komplete 10 (upgrade from a very old 2 at xmas sale) and Reaper. To be honest I don't have time to learn more than that. I got Logic X when I bought a mac, but I can't be arsed with the learning curve, so only used it for very basic things.

So by and large plugin GAS has passed me by. Do waves still have a bad reputation for customer care?

@teetonetal I'm happy to transfer my copy over to you. I don't like the fiddly nature of the installation and I have tons of other reverb options.

The free Truverb isnt that good really, Open Air is far better.

I picked up Waves Gold which seems ok so far but my "go to" at the moment is the CLA vocal plug...very easy to use.

I did have some isseu with the new Waves Central thing, but contacted support and they sorted it quick, so no problem there for me.

Hmm... I'm sorely tempted by J37 tape machine for $69 but am I just getting it because of the discount? Someone talk me in or out of it.

It's $99 now, $69 with the $30 off. 

@Cirrus If you buy for $69, you won't lose money if you sell it at somewhere like KVR (the free Waves licence transfer policy for plugins under $700 is a good thing). You'd easily get $69 in the off-sale season for it.

If you've create an account at Audio Deluxe and buy it from them, they will give you their own discount and you can include the 'CM30' voucher as well.  I picked up a copy for $62 last night
