The first colour advert of a strat was at Christmas and was a Fiesta red strat, White scratchplate but as it was Christmas, Santa was introduced into the shot and given a matching coat to wear. To this day, Santas coat remains Fiesta red but has faded to a nice pink salmon-y colour.

Ice Tea finish has to be created using a hard water blend of tea (such as Yorkshire Gold) otherwise, the nitro finish gets too washed out and looks too light....

  • Samuel Huntingdon excised a chapter from an early draft of his foreign policy opus "A Clash Of Civilisations", which foretold that by 2025 World War III would be triggered by the irreconcilable divide between those who like Strymon and those who like Eventide.

Using the technique of Time Lapse Photography, I was able to prove that my Keeley Compressor actually moved 12 feet across the room over a period of 3 weeks, with no intervention from external forces.

I immediately worked out a solution by removing it's little plastic feet on the bottom of the pedal and attaching it to my pedalboard, the pedal has never moved since that day.

    They Live, immobilise your pedals.

The new Marshall Code Series of Amplifiers will be the final nail in the coffin for all valve guitar amplifiers. Marshall are no longer purchasing valves from their suppliers and have ceased production on all models save for the code.

(if this turns out to be true can I claim this as a prediction?)

  • Pete Cornish is bringing out a limited edition booster pedal (the AHBB-1*) that substitutes the usual goop for gravy.

Actual gravy. Gravy made (from a packet) by Dave Gilmour in his own home.

(*stands for Ah, Bisto Booster 1)

If you plug in to the output jack (and use the input as an input) of a Strymon El Capistan, the pedal will echo what you're about to play before you've even played it. This isn't, as you might think, because you've wired it backwards. It's because this action activates an unknown functionality similar to the TC Toneprint that transfers telekinectic thought energy produced by the left brain through your pickups, removes a bit of tone, and creates the notes sooner than you can play them.

    Annnd in other news...

JHS are actually a very innovative and unique pedal company, though not in the way you'd normally expect. JHS actually stands for Jean's Happy Society, and the brand/concept was in fact founded by 20th century theorist Jean Baudrillard. Jean spent quite a lot of his latter days inventing pedals and placing them subtley amongst the guitarists' wider consciousness, before releasing later on after his death pedals which on the face of it appear to be copies but are in fact very much the originals. Albeit in different clothing! Of course the copies (which appeared first) were much better than the originals (which appeared in JHS livery), purely to fulfill his vision. I myself am one of the more bizarre results of his experimenting, in that I was created as a user on here before being reissued in pedal form. We are yet to experience his Cab Simulacrum, which emulates a sound none of us have ever heard
