Possibly a dumb question (re speaker cable)

Does the rule about never using instrument cable as speaker cable between head and cab only apply to valve heads?

What about a little tiny solid state pedalboard amp (Diago little smasher)?

Nothing to do with transistor or valve; everything to do with the current it might have to carry.

Based on the calculation Power = Impedance x Current-squared, and assuming that a safe current is up to about 1 Amp (ampere, not amplifier :) ), the maths becomes extremely simple… if the amp power is less than the cabinet impedance it should be fine.

There's a very outside possibility that the capacitance of a shielded cable could pose a problem for a solid-state amp, but very unlikely unless the cable is extremely long or very poor quality.
