The first episode is good, but the rest of the first serial is a bit boring.

Well I'm rather a lot further forward than I expected. 

I watched the first few serials of the first Doctor, but the wife found them boring so we decided to skip to series 4 and Troughton however most of his shows are lost so we're on series 6 where you actually have a complete series. 

Watching "The Dominators" at the moment.
