New Laptop

Looking for a new Laptop for making music, running Cubase 8 and easydrummer.  My current Asus i3 ultrabook runs out of steam occasionally when running very busy drum tracks (guessing the hard drive) or a lot of plug-ins.

Would prefer a laptop to a desktop because I'm working away a lot and will take it with me.

Don't think I need huge power, my old one is OK for 90% of what I do, but thinking i5 or i7 with a SSD, and maybe a MacBook rather than a PC?

Any advice?

If you are holding MacBook folding I would look at specialist computer dealers like Scan for a dedicated PC laptop?

You should be able to then stay with W7? Not that W10 is that bad but you might have problems with some older software.

SSD, i5 and as much ram as you can cram! Should be S'hot.
