Anyone rock up Auld Lang Syne for NYE gigs?

When we've done NYE gigs in the past we've had a break for the chimes and either had a big telly on in the place or the radio...but thinking a rocked up version of Auld Lang Syne would be fun.

Anyone do that?

We start it normal then gradually speed it up to a power punk mental fest. Almost guaranteed to have someone fall over and at least one tit pop out. Loadsa fun.

Yeah same as @rossyamaha start normal pace, then get heavier and faster until it's Greenday on speed  style

We've done it as a offbeat ska, increasing in pace - goes down very well! Helps that we have 5 piece horn section to start of with a trad brass band feel - then we kick it off and go crazy. I say do it - it's a winner however you do it..

We used to do it years ago as a Quo-esque boogie at 12am, would go down a storm.

Then we'd extend it for 30 mins, finish, grab the money and get the hell out of there! ;-)

Yep we did it a couple of years ago, rock it up - beats the hell out of bagpipes.

Yeah, we did it the one gig I did on NYE. Worked very well. It's piss easy tbh
