Rocksmith PS4 Audio Question

Hi guys/gals

I've been playing guitar for 7+ years and am still poo at it, I can't play a single song all the way through yet and generally don't progress well. I've bought Rocksmith for my Mac and use it every now and again at lunch time at work and at home, but getting it on the Mac and sorting it out can be a faff, and I'm lazy! I'd like to get Rocksmith for my PS4 but know that unless you use optical audio it lags.

With the PS4 you can plug headphones into your controller and have all audio sent that way and normal game audio seems fine with no perceptible Lag, I was wondering if anyone had tried Rocksmith using this method or, if they had it on PS4, could try this and let me know what the audio lag is like.

This would make playing it much easier and convinient for the lazy guy that I am!

I have it on XBox 360, just HDMI to the screen, and there's little enough lag that it doesn't cause me any problems. I've got all the image processing turned off on the screen though.

Can't help with the PS4 I'm afraid.
