That Chord is a G#Maj 7 add 9 add 11 add 13 Sus 4, I always struggle with that one.

I don't think so - sus4 means removing the third and replacing it with a 4th, so it's not obviously minor or major. Add11 means just that - take any chord and add the 11th note of the scale. That'll be the same as the 4th, although it might be nicer to pick that note from a higher octave, but you don't delete the 3rd. E.g. Dadd11 has D F# A and G, whereas Dsus4 just has D G and A.

Taking the 11th from a higher octave tends to avoid the dissonance you might otherwise get from the 3rd and 4th together.

At least, that's how I've always understood "sus" and "add" chords.

Agreed, sloppy thinking on my part, but you wouldn't normally see both modifications quoted simultaneously for a chord
