Saw a report that Jack Casady, bassist with Jefferson Airplane, has died but Google doesn't throw anything up. Anyone confirm?

I just saw the news item about Paul Kantner.  

I can't claim to have been a massive Jefferson Airplane/Starship fan, but I did like them during their hard rock period in the early 80s - which I would guess serious fans hate! - so the story instantly caught my eye.

So many musicians dying this year!  RIP.

RIP Paul Kantner................that idea took me on a pure nostalgia trip listening to Jorma Kaukonen and I do resolve to listen to "After Bathing at Baxter's" on my trip tonight...............er, not in psychedelic way......well, y'know what I mean.
