Ahh RIP Terry. At our wedding me and Mrs RHC had the tables named after famous historical Irishmen and on was Wogan naturally. Much to everyone's amusement.

Really shocked by this - I knew he wasn't in the first flush of youth but I sort of thought he was immortal. He seemed to have been around forever - and would probably continue to be....

No one seems to have a bad thing to say about the chap, seems to have been the same off screen/radio as on it.   

Real shame to lose him.

I suppose he was unusual in that there was never any controversy with him, but he was rarely dull - he was an old-school entertainer who simply made people smile.

I remember watching his show every Saturday night with my parents on TV when I was growing up. A true national treasure.

I was just watching that PR show last night and thinking 1996 was only 10 years ago.  Then it dawned on me that it was actually 20.  Where have the last ten years gone.

Much younger than his years I guess and will be missed.

Sad news. I grew up listening to Wogan, my mum always had the radio on in the mornings.

One of life's gents, never a hint of controversy around him, and I reckon he was a genuinely nice bloke.

RIP, too be sure, to be sure, so you will, Terry.
