Couple of vids with a 5150 head, what a great amp

A friend of mine lent me a 5150 head last night, dirty sound was as expected, brilliant but clean sounds really good I thought as well. Just a pity they are so big and so much money :(

Bit of VH with it :

But a bit of Bowie works on it as well

And Madness - could have cleaned up a bit for this one

Sounds great man. Did you use the loop? I've heard that isn't it's strong point.

    Great playing as usual.

I'm using my fender and marshall amps a lot more this year but the evh isn't going anywhere - great rock amp.

I haven't had any issues using the loop (apart from once forgetting to turn it on and having a very dry gig).

Yeah there's a delay and flange in the loop but I noticed when I first plugged the GT10 in the loop it went all dark so I had to EQ the GT10 to make up for it.

    It's not a competition.

    Thanks man

It's a flattering amp to play through, the harmonics really do jump out with very little effort. I wish they made a 30 watt version a lot cheaper!
