Sold: Bargain Heritage H150 Plaintop - Totally mint £1,175

edited October 2016 in Guitars £
This is a truly fantastic guitar, which I'm only selling as I have another near identical one that's a little lighter and I can't justify keeping both when I'm so afflicted with GAS

Absolutely mint 2014 Heritage H150 in Old Style Sunburst over a 'plain' Maple top

  • Single piece body - weight 10lb 2oz
  • Beautiful and understated two piece 'plain' maple top
  • Honduras Mahogany Fretboard
  • 'Slim 59' Neck Profile
  • Nitro Lacquer
  • Tonepros locking Bridge and Tailpiece
  • Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers - Bridge is a 4-conductor to allow a phase flip on a push/pull pot (Bridge tone pot)
  • Currently Modern wiring with Silver Mica Treble bleeds (it just worked better than 50ies wiring)
  • CTS Pots
  • Sprague Caps
  • Medium Frets
  • Tusq Nut
  • Grovers
  • Original Heritage Case

Given the audience, I'll skip the normal '..made in Kalamazoo' speech and just tell you that this is unmarked, a beautiful player and all in all, a superb guitar.

I'm based in Dorking, Surrey, if anyone wants to try her out in person - you won't be disappointed

  • Damn shame, why do all these Heritage 150's and 535's have slim necks??? been after one for a why but so far haven't seen one with a chunky neck.

I wouldn't call it slim - it's certainly not into R8 territory, but it gets chunkier as you move up the fretboard that the modern Gibbos

Measuring the circumference from the edge of the fretboard around the back to the other edger of the fretboard gives a circumference of  70mm at the first fret and 85mm at the 12th

To give that some context, my 2014 Memphis shop 335 measures the same 70mm at the 1st but is thinner by 5mm at the 12th

    Cheers

I think measuring the neck depth front to back at the first and twelfth frets, and describing the shape - C, D, U V, gives a better idea of neck thickness than measuring the circumference. Good luck with the sale.

    It's approx 0.85 at the 1st and 0.92 at the 12th and somewhere between a C and D shape

This page gives a good insight into how this relates to the Gibson historics

That's a pretty slim neck, in the R0 ballpark I'd say.
