Composition Challenge #13 - (3 Months Long)

I did some recording yesterday - I now have bass guitar, rhythm guitar, lead guitar and a blister on my middle finger.



Sound samples and mixing to do now. The samples could take a bit of work to achieve what's in my imagination at the moment.

I've just had a session on the computer, sampling snippets of Cameron from YouTube vids - grisly work. The things I do for this challenge.

Drums programmed .. guitar riff sorted ... as usual this will be tight but we'll make it. Expect very loud mayhem ... :-)

Just have to properly mix this thing now. Surprisingly little guitar on it (for me). Lots of eq'ing and compressing vocal samples to get it all sitting together nicely in the mix. I should just about have enough time to finish it.

Cubase SX .. a blast from the past .. I used that back in the day. An excellent product .. looking at the track lanes with piggy sqeals and DC (David Cameron?) clips I hope you have a hot lawyer ... :-)

Sheldon - @Antique_Guitars - is usually on the case (more so than the participants, I'd say). @Fretwired is the master of the last minute entry and I myself once submitted something with about 10 minutes to spare!

@steamabacus .. I like drama .... I think sending a track with a few minutes to spare wasn't the wisest thing to do .. must do better. Good to see some new participants. @gingerbbm I look forward to listening to your entry.

I've just had a very productive mixing session and I think I have a final mix. I'll listen back to it later and, if all is ok, do a quick mastering job. I may even get it submitted a day early.

Swine flu .. very good ... I've submitted something as I'd already done the backing track ..
