Which foot do you guys and girls use for your Wah?

I feel like I have more control with my left, but usually use my right because of stage-layout

  • Right. But I'm right footed for everything.

Right. I found that my right foot had more fine control because it was practiced with an accelerator, whereas the left just booted in the clutch. It helped that the wah was the first in the fx chain, and the cable came in from the right hand side.

I don't often use a wah although do use an expression pedal. However, I have to use my left foot (I'm right handed) for any wah/ expression use as otherwise the guitar moves about too much, knocked about by the top of my thigh.

Right, not least because it's always been first in the signal chain!

Right.  I try my left from time to time, but it feels all sorts of weird.

Normally on the right as it's first pedal in chain and I'm often positioned by how a mic stand sits around my board. But I prefer it on the left

Right. The problem is I use my right foot for all switching which sometimes involves pivoting on my left foot for inconveniently long periods when I need to press many switches.

With me, it's on the far right but I use my left foot. Never knew that till I watched a video, I assumed I used my right - it looks most uncomfortable swivelling across the board to use the left.

Neither. I'm rubbish on a wah. Like I've got 2 left feet.

I'm a wah-leftie, but guitar righty. It's kinda annoying, but I'm stuck with it!

Right. I'm left handed but right footed.

    It's not a competition.

Left. My right foot control is rubbish. Always found it awkward with a built in exp pedal or starting a pedal chain with a wah on the right.

At the moment though while I'm still waiting to have my right knee fixed it hurts to stand with my weight on that leg while wahing with the left so I'm swapping between the two like an ambifooted freak.

Right! Surely! I have spoken on another thread about my admiration for Billy Duffy, but I nearly walked out of the gig then and there when he used his left foot for the wah. It's just.... dirty.

Left.  Can't believe how many Right footers there seem to be!  Right just feels wrong.

Left isn't convenient though because I have to run a pair of 1.5 metre leads from the wah on the Left to the start of the board's signal chain which is over to my Right.
