Is it possible to make a 3 button footswitch, to select channels only, that uses a TRS connection?

At present I use a 2 button LED footswitch: left switch is 3rd channel, left and right is 2nd channel, right is 1st channel. no lights on defaults to 3rd channel.

I'd like to make a switch with 3 LEDs, one for each channel ,where pressing one button selects that channel and deselects the previous channel.

all on TRS.

Almost certainly, yes. It'll need a bit of logic circuitry and then relays to do the actual switching but nothing too complex. Or go sledgehammer and use something like an Arduino, but that's arguably overcomplex.
