Any love for the Tonecity model m?

Hi all

Recently acquired  a Tone City model m, for the times when rock and heavy blues needs to happen. Anyone like them? I'm inept with pedals, and even more inept with gain, but is it me or is that thing damnably loud! Just kicking  it on causes a hiss like one wouldn't believe. Tone is nice, but bloody hell its noisy.

Just fishing for tips for this pedal basically...I quite like the tone but the second I'm not playing it becomes quite a loud mess.

How are you powering it? Are you using single coils?

No single coils. using a 10-port pedal hub connected to the board. Not a dazy chain

I got one less than a week ago and have only had one outing with it where I could crank it, its loud alright .

I used it with a strat and that's noisy as expected.   

I've not had a chance to try some humbuckers yet ,perhaps this weekend.

A 10 port pedal hub would have the same problem as a daisy chain if it isn't isolated. Have u tried using it by itself? Don't chain other effects to it and don't share the power supply. Some pedals don't play nice together.

hmm I will do that...would be a damn shame if that were the case though as my other things aren't that loud and I'd really rather not acquire another power supply.
