Do you think I'd best avoid putting my own (very short) jazzy take of this at the end of my album? 

I'd absolutely love to but worried about getting sued or something!!

I'd counsel against it - the licensing required is a pain in the neck and to be avoided if possible.

Exactly what I thought. 

I queried PRS and it did look like the rights were still owned. 

An absolute bummer as it would be the perfect ending. 

I might just chuck it up on YouTube "for free" as a bit of promo, a "what if" - bummer!!

Decided to just put it up. 

Would have re-recorded it given the length and put it at the album end but want to avoid any sort of legal action. 

Enjoy (or not!). Dedicated to my girlfriend who's fighting cancer.

I think it was clipping. It's years old and I would have re-recorded it if I were to use it as the outro but just left as is.
