If you need help with Reaper, check out Kenny Gioia's videos http://www.kennymania.com/learn-reaper/

Also, both 32 and 64-bit VSTs work with the 64-bit version of Reaper.

A definite +1 for Kenny Gioia's Reaper vids, they're great, with loads more on his YT channel. (I also love his accent and the - way he speaks - in quick bursts - of three words - with a pause - after each group?)

I've not got time to learn the intracacies of complicated DAWs.
Tracktion, for me, is simple and works and does what I need to do with very little complications.
There's only so much one person can do in life - I don't want to put all my effort into being a DAW master.

I had hassles with Cubase on  friends PC which was very hi spec workstation. Ableton worked very well but pricey unless you wnt to bounce tracks whenyou reach the limit on the lite version. I settled for Reaper eexeptional IMO interface is logical, performnce great, . .  . inexpensive.

I did the Coursera online free course music production https://www.coursera.org/learn/technology-of-music-production comes from Berklee recommended if you have 2 or 3 hours a week. Starts of technical in first week but very practical.
