    Really after the James Tyler version as I understand the Guitar itself is better, any idea if this has the same electronics as the Tyler model? If it were I might be able to transplant them?

    I could be wrong but I think the JTV uses a different software - I tried to update my 700 with JTV and it is incompatible.  If the software is different, I would guess same applies to hardware.
