Is there a way to post a very long article?

I have an article I wrote for a technical journal several years ago but which I reckon would be of interest to people on fretboard... I tried to share it here but got an error message about it being far too long... (it's probably about a sheet of A4 of normal type) Is there any way round this?

It's because you end up copying all the formatting, which takes up space in HTML (especially if you're copying from Word, because Microsoft's take on HTML is probably the worst of the lot). Copy it into a plain text editor first (eg Notepad), then copy it from there and paste in the box. Should be fine.

If you're in chrome you can paste plain text directly by pres ctrl+shift+v

On a mac you can do "shift alt cmd v"

Even using notebook it was 300 characters over.... better than 1000's with word though! Putting the intro in a first post and some subtle pruning has allowed it to work in the end. See "urban myths about valves" in Amps section :-)
