on hold GIBSON ES 195....(firebird meets falcon)

What's Hot

edited May 2016 in Guitars £
Immaculate condition and a real head-turner.
A rare bird indeed, essentially a slim ES 175 with a Trini neck.
2 years old but hardly played (20 hours tops)
No longer in production.
P94 pickups (which are great)
Highly Figured/flamed trans-Amber and Gold appointments.
Essentially the Gibson 'Gretsch'!
Apart from the unusual Rockabilly looks this guitar is so versatile
it can be Joe Pass, Chet or Ted Nugent at the flick of a switch...
It twangs, it mellows out and it really rocks!

I'll leave the demonstration of that to a certain Mr. Greg Koch.
No trades (other than a tone king Imperial 2)

£1400

Gregory COCKERY ( as he sometimes calls himself ) isn't good ..........he's a bloody monster !
Saw him do a clinic/demo using a Hammond simulator pedal ......they always sound a bit meh but he had voiced his chords and manipulated his style so cleverly that he had taken on the keyboard player feel and it was amazing -if you closed your eyes you would have thought you were watching Billy Preston .

I have played this very guitar.  I loved the pickups, fruity for a P90, sounded most excellent through my Tone King Imperial.  I don't have Greg Koch's licks, but the guitar sounds every bit as good, even with my 'fists of ham', and 'fingers of butter'.

I was never interested in this model until I got it in my hands, and as Dominic will confirm, I've pretty much lusted for this very guitar ever since.  Plays great, sounds great, looks great.  As a big Gretsch fan, it's my favourite Gibson ;)

    It's a really lovely guitar.
