Westbury Standard black with case

I picked this up a few years ago, was going down a nostalgia trip as I leant to play on one of these.

It's black, with numerous chips, some have been coloured in by a previous owner so it doesn't show them up as easily.

The dimarzios sound great! I had a new switch put in, and a tone control.

Not long after buying it I noticed a slight crack appear on the rear of the headstock.. Being a bit cautious I had my local tech remove the finish to check it over. It was a very slight split in the wood, so he injected some glue and re painted the back of the neck. The colour match is pretty spot on, can only really tell under certain lights.

It comes with the original hard case.

£150. Will post or meet up etc.

    Pics please:)
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Are you sure it's the original case? the originals had grey/amber lining and Westbury branding on the outside.
could it have been re-lined inside?

    I could not be sure.

When I bought it some 4yrs ago it was sold with this case. The previous owner had purchased it from new, and this is the case that came with it at that time.

It looks period correct and fits like a glove.

A little Internet research just now, it does very much like the grey ones, the stowaway flap looks the same, as does the handle and clasps. But there is no branding on it.

Maybe it's just a generic case from the time it was purchased originally.

Fair enough, "fits like a glove" is all that matters.

Say it every time these come up, but that's the exact first guitar I ever had. I should buy it for nostalgia's sake and they're no slouches. Great necks too :)
