Cornford footswitch mod

I have a cornford roadhouse 50 which has a built in boost that you can activate via a footswitch, but the footswitch doesn't have any kind of LED or status indicator on it to let you know if the boost is on or off. Is it possible to mod it in any way to allow this to happen?

I have had a look at the bright onion site and they could make one for £25 but it would need external power supply and take up one of my power outlets on my pedal power which I am reluctant to do

  • Been here with my old roadhouse

You'll need external power as the footswitch out socket on the amp won't power it.

A battery would be an option if you don't want to use your pedal supply

I have done this with a FET, an LED and a Lithium button cell.

Exactly how depends upon the logic of the switch.

You could always do it with a trusty 9V battery rather than your power supply. It would last ages just powering a LED, and you could switch it with a jack socket.
