Hi all,

This one is back on as I had interest from a chap outside of the UK but we couldn't quite make it work re getting it to him.

As per my comments on the es335 thread I am now selling the guitar that I've owned for all of 2 weeks and raved about to everyone. It's got a lovely neck, low action and it really rings.

I don't want to sell it but I ended up buying the Gaz Gibson 335 this week which has afforded me huge brownie points. However much I feel the Tokai is going to be a great investment, I can't afford to keep 2 really similar guitars when household things need doing !

Now looking for £1100 inc hard case and yes , it's as good as it looks

  • Hi - are those headstock decals after market? I have an 1981 es100 and it just has "Tokai" on there.

Not as far as I know and it's posted on the Tokai forum too and those guys have analysed it :-)

Is yours a 'j' or an 'r' as perhaps that's the difference ? (Mines a J which is the jazzy one without the hot pickups)

Bumping guys and as per monoamine's post this may be an 82 not an 81. The special edition headstock apparently appeared on 82 models but this was sold to me by a very respected dealer as an 81 so who knows . It's best to pass on any info though I guess :-)

Sorry not a bump this time, I've had some more info from some Tokai gurus and it is after all a 1981 so we can all rest easy :-)
