I love 'em- one of the greatest live bands I've ever seen.

Buckland has an immense ability to play very earwormy riffs.

I used to like them at first , loved Yellow and the Scientist especially. Went to watch them at crystal palace one year (tbh really went to see Supergrass who were the support) and it felt like one long song bar a few highlights . They are really skilful , seem like great blokes and live a life I'd give my right arm for but it just feels a bit samey to me .

Watching them now and he's got about 3 of them. They do that chimey thing well tbf and I'm sure he can afford more than one.

I was surprised as to 1) how good Coldplay were and 2) how good their guitarist is. He's not flash, he gets great sounds that totally fits the songs and plays *the song* and his contributions improve the songs.

He made me start look at the costs of Thinline Teles!!

Jonny Buckland is a master of the repetitive hook/lick. He really is.

He's got some lovely vintage pieces incl a 64 Jag and 60 Jazzmaster but the main burst tele is an original 72. , black '77, walnut '74, natural '72 and a Yuri Shiskov Master Built in CAR.

He's got two Fender HRD's and a Mike Hill switching rig with loads of 2290's
