SOLO of the Month #17 - Chat

This is the 17th SOLO of the Month (SotM) Challenge, being run by @Antique_Guitars and @TTony. 

We give you a new backing track to solo over every month. The backing track will be a maximum of 1.5mins long. 

You download the track from our soundcloud page, record your solo over the top of it and then submit it to us.

 
Challenge #17 is now open, and remains open for submissions until 24th July. 

Voting opens on the 25th of the month, and closes on the last day of the month, when the winner will be announced.

Just sent mine in. I quite enjoyed the vibe on this one. Looks like less interest than last month though unfortunately.

It's been too hot to work in my "studio" but I got the start of something last night. I also made the mistake of listening to @stratman3142 's entry and am considering just giving up now.

@markv one of the reasons I never listen to anyone's tracks before I submit mine is because I don't want to get scared off!! I find it easier to work in blissful ignorance of the high standard of everyone's solos

That's a very kind comment @markv. Hopefully it's not the kiss of death when it comes to the voting

It's always good to hear your entries and your approach has influenced me in trying to be a bit more understated.

Sent mine in. Didn't quite get the time to polish it and achieve what I had in my head, but it was a nice little backing track.

@Antique_Guitars - that's me. Looks like something weird did happen with that email...using Mail for Windows 10 so I'll try again through webmail as soon as my laptop decides to play ball...
