No worries. You could also try the Tokai Forum. It's more specialist and could have something to suit? Best of luck with the search.

Here's some pics of the Tokai, collectors condition, One-piece back, nice lightweight, rare-ish colour, most of the bursts are cherry.  Pickups changes to Peter Florance Voodoo's, post CTS, Faber bridge & tailpiece.  Original pots, bridge & tailpiece included, Original Case.

Are you open to other Japanese Les Pauls, and indeed other colours?

I have a Jap Burney which I think would be called Lemonburst. The plan is to sell it soon but there is no pics at this point. I can get some if it may be of interest though.

Edit Lemon Drop not Lemonburst. Similar to reply number 5 in this thread

  • If you can find a Yamaki or Joodee Performer, they are excellent. Early 80s Tokai quality for 1/3 of the price. I just bagged one and am very impressed with it.

You have to buy a very special Gibbo to better the higher end Tokais
@Knuckleberryfinn mentioned the YAMAKI guitars -they were very good ,;their sister company DAION also made some very high quality guitars ,in particular,a 335 type with an aggressive rear cutaway called a 555 Headhunter -I used to play one
