Extra mature cheddar is the one for me , I do like feta though, Cheshire is great as well.
Has anybody had cheddar with cracked black peppercorns in it ?
They used to sell it in Sainsburys , it was awesome , but they stopped selling it and nobody seems to remember it .
I think it was called Isle of Man Cheddar?
Are you sure that's not casu marzu?
Many years ago while on holiday somewhere near the French/Italian border, I remember my old man being served some round-shaped cheese or other and when he cut it open, it looked like it was alive with crawly things. He ate it, while my mum and I were almost gagging, it looked vile. He said it was nice, but I wonder how much was bravado.
Cambozola is my favourite.
Quite fond of Yarg too.
Otherwise, mature cheddar served between the toast and beans.

Wensleydale with a slice of fruitcake too. With a pot of good leaf tea. Perfect Yorkshire tackle.
I like grilled halloumi too.
In fact, I just like cheese, mostly all of it.

Wis awarded.
Raclette and fondue are fine meals every once in a while, but for a single cheese, I'm going to have to give mentions to the following:

Similar to Halloumi, but battered and deep fried served with a wedge of lemon. Fan-bloody-tastic.
Here, Stilton and grapes.
