NEW Piece of foam day..... and NCD

One of the best gifts i got for my birthday was this: An Auralex Great Gramma V2. which is a sound deadening/ decoupling base to go under my 2x12. As I'm a massive sceptic, i wasn't sure if this would do anything useful..... However as the Office/studio has stone floors I needed to find some sort of solution to stop the 2x12 being too boomy.

It works, the amp sounds so much clearer and not boomy at all. can't fault it at all. ITs a bit pricey but...... my amps are actually usable now. Oh and the cab is new too. a Zilla made to the same compact dimensions as the Rectifier compact cab... fitted with Celestion Heritage G12-65. great cab!

It's more than a bit if foam, I was being flippant it's foam, wood. and felt lol £80 but it can handle 300lbs of weight

That's not bad, especially if it's making such a big difference to the sound - nice one! And it looks good, too.

Ive got 3 Grammas - great piece of kit
