would there be any harm in running 2x pedals from here, a 9v and a 12 v?

I assume you're talking about connecting a mains power strip into it and then wallwarts into that? That should be fine for a couple of pedals, or indeed anything so long as you don't exceed the 200 Watt maximum draw. I have a Pedal Power AC and a Pedal Power Digital daisy chained from mine.

Why are you doing it, if you don't mind my asking? Have you run out of outlets on the PP2+?

it's for the V2 Kingsley Minstrel that I have and another Kingsley valve pedal sometime later.......

the Minstrel could be run via TWO I/puts on the PP2+ but Simon from Kingsley dose not recommend it

    @hootsmon ;

I've got the same problem trying to power a couple of Kingsley pedals on a board too. Maybe ditch the PP2+ and look into these...

You can power two Kingsley pedals and daisy chain most things off one tap. Each one has a bigger brother (Zuma and CS12) - more outputs/different voltage options etc.

The Strymon Zuma and Ojai are not in the country yet, but I think the True Tone stuff is readily available.

    Brad

if the courtesy gizmo can handle it I don't have a problem

I already have a two strip in place and one position is for my Minstrel

Try it. I rigged up an IEC to 3 pin for my memoryman and it hummed. so I got an adapter doubler thingy.

    this from Simon at Kingsley.....

Jouster needs around 6W and the Minstrel V2 around 4.5W, so lots of power to spare from the courtesy outlet...

And I asked Voodoo Lab yesterday...

Q: I have a PP2, PP AC and PP Digital.
I currently have mains AC connected to the PP2, which then feeds the PP AC via the aux output, which then feed the PP Digital via the aux output.

Noting the PP2's aux output 200W maximum load, am I likely to be able to exceed this with pedals connected to all the outputs of all three PPs?

    A:
That's fine (even with a few more supplies too). Yes, you can use the AC courtesy outlet as you have described.
And, you could still connect a power strip to the courtesy outlet for use with multiple pedals/effects and their adapters.
    I think, therefore.... I... ummmm........

You could do something like this (see upper right hand corner next to the Pedal Power 2), by shortening a small power strip and feeding the individual power supplies into the available outlets on the power strips.

Just be sure to keep the power strip as far away from other pedals as possible as the AC can cause some ground noise if close in proximity.

  • This might be a better photo with the Eventide power supplies wired into the power strip:
