Fender Bassbreaker 15 HEAD

TelejesterTelejester Frets: 743
Only guitars I play are US telecasters and I have a spare Zilla 1 x 12 solid birch ply open back compact cab with a celestion greenback in it. I read really good things about the Bassbreaker 15 head, I tried the 7 watt head and thought it was underwhelming. What concerns me is that in a lot of demos for the 15 the reviewer says he needs to use the bright switch. In my opinion you should never ever have to use a bright switch with a tele, can anyone confirm if the Bassbreaker 15 head suffers from sounding like a duvet is in front of it when it comes to cleans.

Many thanks

Never tried one but if it sounds great with the bright switch engaged leave it on. I dont quite see the problem.
If it had no switch and was voiced as is when on it would be a non-issue? Not having a go just saying don't rule it out on that basis.
    As ever, go play one.

  • Recently tried one at full chat, it was bright, with a Les Paul.
