I've seen a BF-1 in better than usual condition for £80 that looks nearly as good as this stock picture.  No box/manual

Are they any good -  I've read volume drop issues (although running at 12v helps apparently?
Funky case.

For eighty quid, I'd be all over that!
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....

Definitely go for that. The AP-2 is another one to catch if you can. There are a couple of you tubes that show what they are capable of.

I also want to try a Hartman Flanger.
Got a Supa Puss Analogue Delay so hoping for Andy Summers magic with this pairing.

Never tried one but it's got a resonance control.
It's the law that if a pedal has a resonance knob, it'll sound great.

Got the Boss BF-1 yesterday and was at it for hours last night...Andy Summers and other 80;s classics.  It lives up to expectations.  Never got past the flangy/chorus setting of all knobs around noon and resonance at zero.

Slight volume drop but all flangers of that era seem to have that.  Surprised how quiet it was (i.e. hiss and other weird noise) when engaged.

In great condition, took this photo before giving it a quick clean and it looks even better now - no scratches on the control plates, logo and even around the input holes so doesn't seem to have been on stage all that much IMO (it came from a keyboard player).
