Pics not appearing in posts (this old chestnut)

I can't seem to get actual pics to actually appear in posts any more, just the links. What am I missing?

So the second link needed i.imgur and also .jpg at the end, you need to select "direct link" when you copy it.......


i.e. It's the first link without the img parentheses... Have a free pic of my dog to smile at though
