Just saw this on Facebook - Looks like a good project; a simple L-pad thing with some switching.

Can anyone more useful than me at circuits (and less drunky) confirm if it'll sound any good?

    That's more or less what a Jettenuator is, albeit it without the treble boost.  They sound fine.
