It may have changed (as someone above said, there was a redevelopment project), but I worked there for 3 years about 10 years ago and it really wasn't somewhere I would've wanted to live (and I was in my early 20's, so not exactly flush with cash).

Now that I have woken my brain up and realised that you specified the postcode, I will concur absolutely with what Majorscale said. Start in Woodley, then work outwards round Earley and Winnersh. Look down the Reading road as far as the traffic lights at Sainsburys - any further south and you are entering a world of traffic hurt in the morning. The stretch of Reading road between those traffic lights and the Showcase cinema may be a good place to look - but don't set your sights too high, 'cause basically it's still Wokingham so you're going to have to bend over and spread 'em a little with respect to price.
