Passed an exam today (not music)

Passed my IF1 exam today. It's only the first step towards a basic insurance vocational qualification, but it's the first bit of studying I've done since I left school over 20 years ago. I should hopefully have a NVQ level 2 as well within the month.

Not as impressive as all the degrees, masters and PHDs around here, but it's a start.

Nice one!  And as it happens academic "levels" are weird.  I completed an NVQ 4 a year or two ago which was subjectively about the same level as the M-level stuff I've done.  Go figure!  It's the practical stuff that you learn and the depth of knowledge you gain which is what makes it worthwhile.  I'm sure it'll pay off too!
