bit like a synth step sequencer mixed with a tremolo.

You can do similar with a 8-step plugged into a pitch fork exp in too.

They sound great, super spendy though. Isn't there any software/ plugins available that can handle this sort of thing? Might have to try an ehx step seq. at some point. Weren't you using one with a Ct5 not so long ago @waz? Any decent results?

I was disappointed with the CT5 mate... too random and very hard to 're-dial' in tones when you find them.

I've ordered one of these Holograms anyway

I did not listen massively to the demo,s some one said plugins is most of the not covered by the Linn plugin.

Sounds like you're a guitarist with a fetish for synthy stuff! I'm just about to embark on that journey and it's not as complex as it seems. Worth looking at a cheapo synth to compliment your sound, maybe?

Had a go at trying to do some of this with the helix and an 8 step. Was semi successful, but not close enough... found some interesting sounds though.. Biggest issue was getting the 8 step setup to talk to helix.. work in progress
