15w to 18w head recommendations?

I'll be running it "straight in" to various greenback style and alnico style speakers in 1x12 or 2x12 cabs, for blues, indie, classic rock type tones, not metal. Quality of tone is most important. Having tonnes of features and effects is not. 

Thoughts?

Depends on the voicing you want really. For classic rock, you could ask for an mjw v6-20 head, which is Marshally. If you want a more indie sound, go for an ac15.

Saw a Mango amp at a guitar show years ago that's probably the best 18W head I've ever heard.
