Mighty odd behaviour...

Was walking down the pavement down a major road in the area to find a woman kicking shards of glass into the road. 

Someone had broken a bottle of something, and apparently she had punctured her bicycle tyre 4 times on that glass and contacted the council asking for it to be removed. 

She didn't like it at all when I suggested a puncture for a motorcyclist might be slightly more costly and dangerous, nor did she like it when I pointed out she shouldn't be cycling on the pavement anyway! 

She ESPECIALLY didn't like it when I suggested that if she was having regular issues, cleaning it up herself with a plastic bag would make sense. And that by kicking it into the road, the council were never going to clear it up now that they would have to stop traffic to pick it up.

Just seemed doubly strange as there was a perfectly serviceable bush that she could have kicked it into rather than into oncoming traffic too...

The chances of glass puncturing a motor vehicle tyre are slim enough to be zero. It'll get cleaned up a lot quicker in the road than if would in a bush.

Sure, she would have been doing the world more of a favour if she had brought a dustpan out with her but I don't think I'd have felt righteous enough to overtly criticize her for it.

Oh yeah right and what about the gardener who comes along to weed around the bush, cuts himself on glass smeared with dogshit and dies in silence two years later of brainworm, you are as bad as she is, people are so selfish.  No one cares about the bloody gardener.

The right to do, if it bothered you, would be clear the bloody glass up yourself.

I concur on the odd behaviour being you tying to police a situation, I'd never approach a woman and bitch at her for whatever.

For different reasons I'd leave a man be too.

If you were that arsed you could have cleaned it up yourself.

You come across smug in the thread so god knows how you were in reality.

People don't like other people approaching them and telling them what to do, particularly when they're (a lot) younger than them.

I think she should have turned around and made these noises with massive dilated pupils.  You could have run a mile and completely forgotten about the glass..That would have been really odd.

Why would you get involved in the first place?  She probably didn't like being told what to do by a kid.
