NAD Carr Rambler

My curiosity has finally got the better of me. The Carr Rambler is much lauded on these pages so, as I always missed my Slant 6 V, I've agreed to buy a used one. It was a surprise to find out it's from the same guy I sold my original Slant 6 V head to around five years ago.

My new (to me anyway) Carr Rambler is here, delivered in person by Ray from north of London-super-Mare for a small fee. What a great guy, we know each other from our previous encounter when he dropped by to buy my Slant 6 V head about 5 year ago. I've only been able to play at home volumes so far but the 28/14 watt settings seem to be very useful, think Deluxe Reverb on steroids and really solid sounding Princeton.....

It sounds like it might be my perfect amp from that description.

The way I did it with my CS Strat, was to record it as a Voice Memo on my iPhone, then e-mailed it to my laptop. I saved and renamed the file and then uploaded it to my Soundcloud page and copied the link into my post.

I'm sure there must be apps available that would make the process simpler....

Welcome mate to the Rambler club...!

It remains my number 1 amp, and has seen off many.

I especially love the Triode mode, with mids slighlty scopped. Enjoy

You are a lucky man. I picked one up roughly 2 years ago and it is unbelievable.
