Valve Dampers - Do they work?

Having some ringing issues with the power valves in my Headstrong Lil King S.

I have been reading up today on valve dampers. Does anyone have any experience with these? Seem like a pretty cheap and convenient way of curing the annoying glassy ringing.

I've tried them on a couple of combos that had a vibration thing going on when playing certain low notes, but they didn't cure that.

They've worked for me in the past. Two on each valve.
