I think the guitar has witness marks in the back of the neck from using it, could you imagine attaching this to a guitar these days?

Blimey, it puts a nitro reaction from a stand into perspective!

Saying that I've imagined dripping boiling nitric acid onto guitars more than once, so maybe I like it just a little..

I had one of those capos in my youth. There is a pad missing from the end of the threaded section to spread the load onto the neck. Iirc, it was forever falling off my one!!

You know what it's like with these Mini V's mate ?, they're prone to snatch oversteer when you give it a bit too much. I think it 'traded paint' with a JPS Jazzmaster coming into the back straight at Spa.

Or something..

Much as I'm idly pondering selling it the temptation to order up some red & blue (Goodridge hose connector colour) anodised strap buttons and an orange volume knob from Guique is almost unbearable !

I thought it was a Carvin NT6 build but I misread the tape measure so the scale length is incorrect for a Carvin home build. I haven't got a fucking clue to the origins of this thing and have now given up trying to ID it.

If you spoke to someone like Kabl maybe you could get or make yourself some anodised jack plugs in red/blue and some goodrich style covering for your guitar lead? If you're clever about it you could even maybe make it with a screw collar if you actually gut the insides of an oil cooler fitting or something. GR pipe comes in all sizes for all kinds of app's so it shouldn't be hard to match an end fitting size to take a jack plug inside it and mount the other side of the screw fitting to the guitar jack plate. Even if not some clever anodising / colouring of an existing jack plug would suggest it enough to have the effect.
