Kingsley minstrel v1 vs v2

does anyone know what the difference is across the two versions? I understand the physical size but more interested in sound difference for anyone that may have been able to compare

I don't know about the sound difference but the V1 always needed a seperate power supply where as the v2 can be powered (albeit with a reverse polarity 12v gigrig box)

I thought the minstrel v2 was 9 vdc.

I believe it was 3-1 after extra time. I could be wrong.

I've no experience with V1 but I've heard/read some folk say V1 compresses a touch more due to having two valves. Dunno how much of that is people wanting to hear or feel a difference though...

Isn't v2 a fet transistor pushing the 12ax7 for overdrive, whereas the v1 had 2 12ax7s?

Had both, twice. And compared side by side. I couldn't hear much difference at all, but I thought the EQ set flat led the V2 to having more bass. With tweaking I couldn't tell them apart. Great pedals.

mental crossed wires. I seem to always mix the Minstrel up with the Jester (must be something to do with how my brain associates the names )
