Cheapest Staggered Locking Tuners - Sperzels?

What's Hot

As per the title, my Strat is getting cross with my whammy abuse again and going out of tune. So I think locking tuners might be in order to tame it a bit.
From researching it a bit on the web, it seems the staggered ones will get the string trees out of the way as well.
Are the cheap ebay sperzel copies staggered? Or am I going to have to fork out for proper sperzels?

Cheap Chinese ones aren't generally staggered, but I'm not sure how much difference it really makes.

The cheap ones work well enough but aren't near the quality of Sperzel or Schaller.  I like them equally and have both, one set of Sperzel's I've had for @23 years and they are as good now as the day I fitted them.

Sperzels are surprisingly cheap for something that is still made in USA.

Yeah except don't actually take his arm off. He needs that to do his ' choir of Angels' quality fretwork to say nothing of the whole guitars he makes ....
we need to keep him intact for the common good  !

I'll come clean and admit that it's purely self interest that drives my impassioned plea. The man knows frets, he really does

@FelineGuitars I would like some ex-demo ones very much if you possibly have any, that would be great. (I will leave you your arm though, sounds like you need it)

I suspected the answer would be to get the real deal, and I concede that they are not all that expensive really. I am just a bit of a skinflint.
