Jeorge is friends with a lot of the LA elite and often makes prototypes for them. Those protos conveniently show up in a pic somewhere and that starts the marketing/ demand train rolling. He is a genius on many levels.

Hmm, never thought of that, given the "box" part of the name.  I've never seen a Saucy Box on Landau's boards but I think that he changes his pedals a lot so it's very possible you are correct.  He has been using the Green Rhino for quite a while now, but surely Way Huge aren't going to release another modded version of that.
