Finally got my tele!! Purchased from great guy on this forum @swampy pleasure to deal with and massive thanks to @MattFGBI  for helping get hold of spec sheets etc! And thanks to @guitars4you and @richardhomer for great advice in helping me find the right tele. 

So its a 2001 USA standard in hot rod red with a small amount of fretboard wear but an immaculate body it sounds really really nice!

@swampy ;did me a great deal £565 but for an extra £15 he traveled 95miles to deliver it to my door on a Saturday evening at 8pm great tranansaction and really kind of him to deliver

spent years avoiding them in favour of pretty much anything else.. what a mistake.  they can do anything and if you get the bug and have a couple with different pickups you can cover everything from funk to jazz to blues to rock to metal. I now just want a black one with a maple neck, a oil city tapped diesel in the bridge...  gas..

If you want to look at one, I have a black maple necked Lite ashe tele sitting in a Hiscox case all unused.
Just a few miles west of Ipswich!
